Pastoral Care at St Christopher's is at the heart of relationships in the parish. It occurs within home groups. It also occurs through a network of people in the weekly services. Coordinators are available at all the services, should you need help or assistance. At other times, please call the office. Tel.358 8780

The Marriage Course

How to build a healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. This course is for any couple who want to enhance their marriage or those struggling with issues. Being based on Christian principles it is very helpful to any couple with or without a church background. The setting is welcoming, relaxed and unthreatening. Each evening begins with a candlelit dessert and coffee, and then there is a talk followed by an opportunity for the couple to discuss the topic together.

The Marriage Course runs 2 to 3 times a year for 8 weeks at the church. Please let the office know if you would like to know more about the next course. Tel. 358 8780.

 

Growing Through Divorce

The next course starts at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church, 244 Avonhead Rd, on Thursday 18th September 2008, 7.20pm – 9.30pm. Final evening 23rd October.

A six week course for those separated or divorced. The course consists of a video presentation followed by small group discussion, looking at such issues as relating to your ex-spouse, taking responsibility for yourself, planning a new future, single parenting. It is suitable both for those separated about 6 months and for those divorced for several years who want to continue the healing process. The course is limited to a maximum of 15 participants.
Cost is $25. Normally held 2 to 3 times a year at the church.

The course has been running since 1999 and is open to anyone.
Usually 10 – 15 attend each course.
All leaders have been through the experience of separation.

Operation Cover Up

Operation Cover Up meets during the winter months for fellowship and a cup of tea while knitting and sewing up squares for blankets which get sent to orphanages in Russia.
