Bookshop Update: Our relocated premises for the Dove Bookshop is Peerswick Mall, Leslie St (old Church Corner Book Exchange) phone 348 8748. The shop is tucked in the corner, towards Riccarton Road.
Our original shop at 7 Riccarton Road which we operated for 12 years was demolished as a result of the Feb 'quake.
We have also opened a second shop - the Barn Bookshop, located in the Barn Mall, 121 Seaview Road, New Brighton phone 388 3646, which will service the area where our church parishioners have been involved helping with the Christchurch Community Response in the Aranui and New Brighton parishes.
All our books are donated which means that we can pass them on at very reasonable prices e.g. the vast majority are in the $2 - $10 price range. Because of strong support from our base of book donors and the wider public, we are able to offer a very full range of fiction, non-fiction, children's, Christian & special interest books - all of which are carefully categorised and displayed
Our customers are drawn from a wide cross section of the community - many local book lovers drop in at least once a week, students like the text books at bargain prices, and visitors staying in nearby motels often are on the look-out for a cheap read for the plane trip home.
